The highly regarded annual Women in Agribusiness (WIA) Summit is hosted by HighQuest Partners, which has lately revealed that it will resume hosting year-round WIA MeetUps. The first one will be held virtually using Zoom on November 17 at 5 p.m. CST. Before the pandemic struck, “we were hosting more than a dozen WIA MeetUps, and while we did transition to virtual for a little period, we phased them out,” said Carrie Vita, WIA event director. However, they are back in action and in person right now because of the importance of building relationships and networking in person.
The remaining gatherings, which take place in the early nights of neighborhood restaurants in major American cities, will only be in-person after the WIA MeetUp on November 17. The MeetUps cost $25 for non-members and free for WIA members (read more about membership here).
The meetings are as follows for the remainder of this year:
WIA MeetUp — Minnesota · Minneapolis

- 5:30 p.m. CST
- Prairie Kitchen & Bar
- (inside Hyatt Regency Minneapolis)
- 1300 Nicollet Mall
WIA MeetUp — Colorado

- Tuesday, Dec. 6
- 5:30 p.m. MT

Check online after the first of the year for the complete 2023 WIA MeetUp schedule, which will include cities like Chicago, Boston, Nashville, New York, Dallas, Durham, N.C. (Research Triangle Park) and Des Moines.
The WIA MeetUps are part of the myriad offerings that have grown from the first Women in Agribusiness Summit held in 2012. Since that time, the event has grown fivefold and now includes WIA Membership, WIA Demeter Award of Excellence, Student Scholarships, and the WIA Today blog. Learn more at womeninag.com.
