Oreon, a leading manufacturer of LED grow lights, has introduced a new product called the ‘Monarch High Efficiency.’ This latest addition boasts an impressive output of 4730 μmol/s and an efficacy of 3.8 μmol/J. Even more impressive is that the effectiveness increases to 4.0 μmol/J at 50% dimming, making it one of the most efficient grow lights on the market.
Oreon has achieved this high efficiency by using its innovative water-cooling technology, which keeps the LEDs cool and allows for smaller fixtures. This technology also ensures consistent high light output, essential for maximizing plant growth and yield.
One of the most significant benefits of the Monarch High Efficiency is that growers can illuminate their crops for fewer hours or install fewer lamps. This translates to substantial energy and cost savings. Additionally, the Oreon LED Control Center allows growers to have individual or group control of each light, which means they can save energy by only illuminating when necessary.
Furthermore, by reusing the energy not directly converted into light, growers can save even more power and optimize the energy purchased at high prices. This feature is essential considering the increasing energy prices worldwide. According to Oreon’s CTO, Twan Mennink, energy efficiency is becoming increasingly important, and Oreon’s fixtures have delivered high efficiency and output for 15 years.
