Devry Boughner Vorwerk Joins agtech company Agrology's Advisory Board

Leading sustainability expert Devry Boughner Vorwerk has joined the advisory board of Agrology, a premier Predictive Agriculture firm and Public Benefit Corporation. Devry will collaborate closely with the Agrology leadership team as an advisor to the firm to advance its sustainability goals domestically and internationally.

“Devry has the experience and expertise needed to reach more growers and help them transition to climate-smart farming practices,” said Agrology CEO Adam Koeppel. “Not only does Devry align with our core values, but her leadership and commitment to securing our global food supply are exactly what Agrology needs.”

Devry will join hundreds of creative thinkers and doers in regenerative agriculture, farming, and sustainability this week in New Zealand for the 2023 Rural Leaders Agribusiness Summit. The company aims to expand its real-time carbon measurement and monitoring technology to the global growing community during this tour, so agriculture will be on Devry’s agenda.

“As someone devoted to inspiring businesses to courageously serve humanity, I believe in the future of Agrology and their approach to applying technology to make farming more sustainable,” said Devry Boughner Vorwerk. “Their technology honors the soil and is also a crucial first step to measuring climate-smart practices.”

Having held the positions of Chief Communications Officer, Global Head of Corporate Affairs at Cargill, and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at Grubhub, Devry is a well-known corporate officer and food executive worldwide. She founded DevryBV Sustainable Strategies, her own strategy and consultancy firm, and she sits on the Advisory Board of Culinary Sciences, Inc. She is also a sustainability entrepreneur. Devry’s success as a senior policy advisor at Akin Gump, in roles in international and regional corporate affairs at Cargill, and positions at the U.S. International Trade Commission, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, and the World Bank Group demonstrates her expertise in international trade relations. Devry has a bachelor’s degree in agricultural and managerial economics from the University of California, Davis, and a master’s degree in agricultural economics from Cornell University focused on public policy and international trade.

Through real-time analysis and prediction insights, Agrology, a leading climate tech start-up, and Public Benefit Corporation aims to assist farmers in coping with and combating climate change. The Agrology platform includes tools for monitoring the climate and carbon emissions, both of which are based on real-world data and machine learning. The Agrology Climate Monitoring System provides information and alerts for wildfire smoke taint, harsh weather, soil conditions, insect and disease emergence, and irrigation up to three days in advance. Real-time monitoring of soil carbon sequestration is done through Agrology’s Carbon Monitoring System, which also detects carbon loss through carbon dioxide emission events.
