Farm Tours Offer Field-Level Insight
WIA Summit participants can choose between two guided farm tours:
- University of Florida Citrus Research and Education Center (CREC): Attendees will tour one of the world’s most comprehensive citrus research programs, including its 600-acre groves and more than 40 labs.
- Southern Hill Farms: This Clermont-based, family-run operation invites visitors to explore blueberry fields and learn about the farm’s transition from commercial production to public-facing agritourism. Lisa Hill, co-owner, will also join the Summit’s Female Producer Panel.
Leadership Workshop and Sector-Specific Dinner Scheduled at WIA
A four-hour Women’s Leadership Workshop hosted by Syngenta will cover authenticity in leadership, intentional career development, and building professional networks. The session will include interactive group exercises and discussions.
In the evening, the Women in Protein Dinner will bring together over 100 professionals at Rodizio Grill, a Brazilian steakhouse. The event is designed for women in the protein industry to network and share insights in an informal setting.
Community and Wellness Activities Complement the Program
On the evening of September 21, WIA Members are invited to a Members Only Night Out at Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar. This complimentary event will offer attendees a chance to connect over Cuban cuisine and entertainment in a relaxed setting.
Morning yoga sessions, led by a certified instructor and sponsored by Farmer Mac, will be available on the second and third days of the Summit to promote wellness and balance during the event.
