Agrellus, Inc., an agricultural technology and grower services company, announced the appointment of Dr. Sofia Kamenidou as Field Operations and Innovation Manager. In this role, Dr. Kamenidou will join the company’s leadership team and focus on operational excellence and technical expansion.
Dr. Kamenidou holds a PhD in Plant Science and Nutrition, an MSc in Horticulture, and a BSc in Crop and Food Production. She brings more than 15 years of experience spanning plant science, nutrition, and complex project management.
Prior to joining Agrellus, she served as Project Manager for the Citrus Clean Plant Network at the University of California, Riverside. In that capacity, she managed administration of the California center, oversaw virology and analytical laboratories, and coordinated collaboration between scientific researchers and agricultural stakeholders.
Agrellus Expands Proving Ground Field Operations
At Agrellus, Dr. Kamenidou will manage the company’s Proving Ground field operations division. Her responsibilities include developing comprehensive trial protocols, recruiting and training agronomists, and overseeing data collection processes designed to generate certified datasets for agricultural manufacturers.
Her previous experience also includes work in neurocognitive data quality control and clinical trials, where she focused on standard operating procedure (SOP) development and team training.
