AgriFORCE Growing Systems Ltd., an intellectual property-focused agtech company, has announced the commercial launch of its AgriFORCE-RCS Hydroxyl device. Commercializadora DESICO, a leading distributor in the AC, heating, and air ventilation industry, secured the first purchase order for this innovative technology.
The AgriFORCE-RCS Hydroxyl Device
Developed in collaboration with Radical Clean Solutions Ltd. (RCS), the AgriFORCE-RCS Hydroxyl device is a chemical-free technology designed to eliminate various contaminants in food production facilities and indoor farms. These include pathogens, mold, mildew, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The patent-pending system works in real-time to destroy airborne and surface-based pollutants, thereby reducing food spoilage.
A Major Milestone
AgriFORCE Interim CEO Richard Wong stated that the first purchase order marks a significant milestone in the commercial rollout of the device. “We have conducted extensive analysis and worked closely with RCS to customize the technology for the specific needs of customers in the controlled environment agriculture (CEA) and food manufacturing industries,” Wong said.
Impact on Food Spoilage
According to the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), nearly 25% of the world’s crops are affected by mycotoxin (mold). By reducing mold and VOCs, the AgriFORCE-RCS Hydroxyl device is expected to impact the bottom line of food production companies dramatically. “We believe this is just the first of many orders with DESICO and in the Mexico market with vast acres of greenhouses as potential clients and a large food manufacturing industry,” added Wong.
Future Prospects
AgriFORCE is currently testing the device within greenhouses in the United States and expects test results soon. The company also plans to expand into new markets worldwide, aiming to become a global leader in delivering plant-based foods and products through advanced and sustainable technology.
