Alchemyca Introduces Claritix Digital Platform
Alchemyca, a waste-to-value technology company focused on transforming anaerobic digesters into high-performance biorefineries, has announced the launch of its flagship digital platform, Claritix™. According to the company, Claritix is the first solution in the industry capable of predicting biogas output from organic waste feedstocks in real time while providing operators with actionable insights to manage digester performance.
The launch comes as global renewable natural gas (RNG) capacity is projected to double by 2034, driven by increasing demand for renewable baseload power, including from energy-intensive sectors such as data centers. Despite this growth, many anaerobic digestion facilities continue to operate below their technical potential.
Addressing Performance Gaps in Anaerobic Digestion
Alchemyca stated that underperformance in anaerobic digestion is often linked to limited operational visibility and a lack of predictive tools. Many facilities operate without real-time sensors or advanced analytics, leading to conservative management approaches and unrealized biogas output.
Claritix is designed to address this gap by integrating real-time sensors that assess feedstock composition and energy content with AI and machine learning models trained on both historical and current operational data. The platform forecasts gas production and identifies early signs of instability, enabling operators to take corrective action before performance is impacted.
Patrick Vagner, Chief Executive Officer of Alchemyca, said, “We built Alchemyca to give anaerobic digester operators the intelligence and control they need to maximize performance starting today.”
Technology Integration and Operational Impact
In addition to predictive analytics, Alchemyca offers tailored biocatalyst programs that can be deployed once stable operations are achieved. The company indicated that these programs have the potential to deliver double-digit improvements in biogas generation, further enhancing digester output.
Since its founding in August 2024, Alchemyca has worked with digester operators to apply biotechnology and industrial bioprocessing expertise to improve operational outcomes. The company emphasized that Claritix is designed to be deployable in complex, real-world facilities and to deliver repeatable value across different operating environments.
Industry Perspective and Alchemyca Team Expertise
Alchemyca reported assembling a multidisciplinary team with experience in anaerobic digestion science, plant operations, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and product design. The company stated that this combination supports scalable deployment of the Claritix platform.
Brian Brazeau, Partner at Ferment, commented on the launch, stating, “By integrating real-time analytics, AI/ML, and targeted biocatalyst deployment, they are helping the biogas industry shift from reactive waste management to precise, intelligent, highly optimized biorefineries.”
Alchemyca indicated that the Claritix platform represents a step toward more data-driven and optimized anaerobic digestion operations as demand for renewable energy continues to grow.
