Strengthening Plant and Turf Health Solutions

Full Integration of Arborjet and Ecologel

Arborjet, Inc. has completed the acquisition of Ecologel Solutions, LLC, fully integrating the two brands under the Arborjet | Ecologel name. After acquiring a majority stake in 2018, Arborjet’s final share purchase marks the culmination of a successful seven-year partnership aimed at providing innovative solutions for plant health and moisture management.

“By fully integrating Arborjet and Ecologel, we make it easier for customers to work with us—especially those purchasing products from both brands,” said Russ Davis, President and CEO of Arborjet. “Together, we can create comprehensive programs that leverage the strengths of each product line, enhancing efficiency, customer support, and overall service quality.”

Expanding Research, Development, and Market Reach

Enhancing Innovation and Customer Benefits

With this acquisition, Arborjet | Ecologel will expand its research, development, and marketing efforts to enhance Ecologel’s existing product line. The company will continue focusing on moisture management, micronutrients, and biostimulants, ensuring environmentally responsible solutions for landscaping, turf management, and agriculture.

“Given the parallels between our strategies, philosophies, and markets, now is the right time to consolidate our leadership and provide one unified voice,” said Rick Irwin, President of Ecologel.

“Innovation has always driven our growth, and Arborjet’s team will build on that foundation,” added Jim Spindler, Director of Agronomy.

Legacy of Innovation in the Green Industry

Advancing Sustainable Plant Health Solutions

Founded in 2000, Arborjet originally focused on tree injection solutions to combat pest infestations, such as the hemlock woolly adelgid outbreak. Over the years, its team of scientists, agronomists, and certified arborists has continued developing cutting-edge technologies for plant care.

Ecologel, founded in the early 1990s, became known for Hydretain®, a moisture management solution initially developed as an industrial dust suppressant. In 2008, the addition of the BioPro product line further expanded Ecologel’s offerings, which now include micronutrients, biostimulants, and soil amendments.

Today, Arborjet | Ecologel serves diverse industries, including landscape management, sports turf, nurseries, and agriculture, providing solutions that support water conservation and plant health.

“We are extremely grateful for Rick, Jim, and the entire Ecologel team,” said Davis. “Their hard work brought us to this milestone, and their continued guidance will be invaluable moving forward.”
