Ceres Imaging, a provider of data and analytics for agriculture, has announced a rebrand to CeresAI. The new name reflects the company’s ongoing focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) as core technologies that empower farmers, agribusinesses, lenders, and insurers to make more informed, data-driven decisions.
Over the past decade, CeresAI has built a vast dataset of over 12 billion plant-level data points across 40 crop types on four continents. This dataset supports CeresAI’s machine learning algorithms, which deliver real-time agronomic insights at the field level. These insights help enterprise customers manage operations, mitigate risks, underwrite policies, and track sustainability metrics.
Highlighting AI Foundations
“CeresAI is a leader in the Ag industry due to the sophistication with which we capture and analyze agricultural data,” said Ramsey Masri, CEO of CeresAI. “Since our inception, we’ve leveraged AI and ML, and we felt it was time to adopt a name that reflects our leadership in these technologies.”
CeresAI’s platform is highly regarded for its ability to deliver accurate, actionable insights. As Gabriele Onorato, Chief Agronomist at International Farming, noted, “The CeresAI-powered platform helps us derive data-driven insights across our full portfolio and report them in a consistent, accurate way. We’re delighted CeresAI is leaning into its AI foundations.”
Series D Funding to Support Expansion
Alongside the rebranding, CeresAI announced a Series D funding round led by Remus Capital, a firm focused on AI-driven opportunities in large industries. The funding will support CeresAI’s domestic and international growth, especially in agribusiness and financial services.
Remus Capital CEO Krishna K. Gupta has also been appointed Chairman of CeresAI. He emphasized the significant potential of AI in agriculture: “Verticalized AI opportunities unlock massive value in specific sectors like agriculture. CeresAI is well-positioned to capture that value, and we will incorporate the latest AI advancements to scale the company’s business.”
