Elanco Animal Health Incorporated (NYSE: ELAN), a global animal health leader, and Ireland-based animal health and nutrition company Tonisity International Limited (“Tonisity”) have announced the expansion of their partnership to introduce Tonisity’s innovative porcine product, Tonisity Px™, in the Philippines.
This follows the joint news release on November 15, 2022, where Elanco and Tonisity established a Strategic Partnership Agreement. Under this agreement, Elanco serves as the exclusive distributor of Tonisity Px in several European countries and Brazil. As the exclusive distributor, Elanco oversees the marketing, promotion, distribution, and sale of Tonisity Px and Tonisity PxW™, collectively referred to as the “Swine Products.” As of May 10, 2023, Elanco began distributing these Swine Products in the original markets under the Strategic Partnership Agreement.
Including the Philippines in the Strategic Partnership Agreement marks the first expansion of the parties into the Southeast Asian region, a critical area in global agriculture.
Pablo Muniesa, Elanco International Species Lead for Swine, expressed his enthusiasm for the expanded agreement. He stated, “Elanco has a long history of research in intestinal integrity. This agreement with Tonisity aligns perfectly with our strategy and enhances Elanco’s value proposition. We will continue supporting our swine customers with innovative products, services, and knowledge to maintain intestinal integrity in their herds, contributing to producing safe, abundant, and affordable food for our growing population.”
Mathieu Cortyl, Managing Director for Tonisity, also shared his excitement about the partnership expansion into the Philippines. He said, “We are delighted to expand this partnership with Elanco into the Philippines. Elanco is one of the world’s most prominent animal health multinationals, and we couldn’t think of a better partner to help us introduce our Swine Products into Southeast Asia. We look forward to helping the agricultural community in the Philippines enhance their profitability while improving the gut health of their animals.”
