FMC Canada announced the launch of seven new crop protection products for the 2026 growing season, marking its most substantial portfolio refresh to date. The new offerings include five herbicides, a fungicide seed treatment with an advanced formulation, and a next-generation soybean inoculant.

According to the company, the expanded lineup is designed to address evolving weed resistance challenges, disease pressure, and crop establishment needs facing Western Canadian growers.


Avireo™ Herbicide Leads 2026 Product Launch

Leading the portfolio expansion is Avireo™ herbicide, a pre-seed and pre-emergent product that combines Group 27 and Group 14 active ingredients. FMC Canada stated that Avireo™ is the first product of its kind available in Western Canada.

The herbicide is designed to deliver fast and reliable burnoff with broad-spectrum control of challenging annual broadleaf weeds. Target species include Group 2, 4, and 9 herbicide-resistant kochia, Group 2 and 4 herbicide-resistant cleavers, volunteer canola, and other difficult-to-control weeds.

FMC Canada also announced the following crop protection products launching in 2026:

  • Avoda® PRO seed treatment – A fungicide seed treatment with three active ingredients in an advanced formulation, developed to protect cereal crops against seed- and soil-borne diseases.
  • Focus® NXT herbicide – A pre-seed herbicide offering strong burnoff and extended residual control, intended to support spring wheat growers in the black soil zone.
  • Express® FT herbicide – A burnoff herbicide with two modes of action designed to deliver fast weed control and support resistance management strategies.
  • PrecisionPac® CF-18-878 PRO herbicide – A custom-blended herbicide formulated to provide extended pre-seed control of more than 50 broadleaf weed species in cereals.
  • Barricade® III herbicide – A post-emergence herbicide featuring a higher rate of fluroxypyr to enhance control of kochia and other hard-to-manage broadleaf weeds.

Next-Generation Soybean Inoculant Introduced

In addition to chemical crop protection products, FMC Canada will launch Optimize® FXC DS, a next-generation soybean inoculant. The product features dual-strain Bradyrhizobium and LCO Promoter Technology™ and is designed to support early nodulation and crop establishment.

FMC Canada indicated that the inoculant reflects growing interest in biological solutions that complement conventional crop protection programs.
