Genuine Marketing Group Kicks Off ZPTAG® Pilot for Carbon Intensity Tracking

Genuine Marketing Group Inc. (OTC: GMGZ) announced the launch of its ZPTAG® Carbon Intensity Pilot, set to begin on April 14. The pilot includes more than a dozen participants from across the U.S. agricultural sector—including Farmward Cooperative, Peterson Farms, and others—with the goal of evaluating ZPTAG’s data validation processes and user-friendly design.

This pilot program supports the company’s ongoing efforts to provide practical, tech-enabled solutions for farmers and agribusinesses. It complements ZPTAG’s role in food safety and traceability compliance through its FSMA-related features.

“We see ZPTAG® as another tool for farmers, and we intend to build our carbon intensity feature to be just that,” said Chuck Chastain, CEO of Genuine Marketing Group.

Carbon Footprint Monitoring: Features Under Evaluation

Genuine Marketing Group Focuses on Real-World Application

The ZPTAG® platform’s new features allow users to monitor and assess:

  • Carbon intensity and emissions metrics
  • Soil health
  • Water quality
  • Crop yield
  • Biodiversity indicators

Participants will provide feedback on how ZPTAG® handles data ingestion, system navigation, and integration with existing operational tools. The system also leverages IBM’s suite of services, including generative AI and Watsonx, to offer advanced analytics and decision-making support.

“By working with producers on the ground, we ensure our solutions reflect real farming conditions,” added Chastain.

Stakeholder Engagement Across U.S. Agriculture

Farmward Cooperative has expressed strong support for the pilot and sees the collaboration as an opportunity to contribute practical insights for technological advancement.

“We are eager to assist Genuine Marketing Group in this initiative,” said Dennis Schreier, EVP of Operations at Farmward. “Our goal is to ensure that farmers—both in the U.S. and internationally—benefit from innovations that support long-term sustainability.”

Participants are expected to represent diverse segments of the agricultural supply chain, offering feedback that will help optimize the platform’s utility for both row and specialty crop producers.

ZPTAG® Commercial Rollout and Long-Term Goals

After the pilot concludes, Genuine Marketing Group plans to formally onboard farmers, processors, and manufacturers as full users of the ZPTAG® platform. This expansion phase is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2025 and will focus on:

  • Driving topline revenue
  • Accelerating customer acquisition
  • Expanding engagement with producers and consumers

The company views the pilot as a stepping stone toward broader adoption of digital tools that support carbon transparency and sustainable farming practices.
