Loveland Products Introduces AQUA FORCE For Center Pivot Irrigation

Loveland Products announced the launch of AQUA FORCE, a water use efficiency product developed primarily for center pivot irrigation systems. The company stated that the product is designed to improve how water moves through and is retained in the soil, with the objective of helping growers optimize irrigation performance.

Unlike traditional soil surfactants or wetting agents, AQUA FORCE is intended to support more uniform water movement through the soil profile and maintain moisture availability in the root zone during irrigation events.

Loveland Products Positions AQUA FORCE For Modern Water Constraints

According to the company, AQUA FORCE improves water distribution, retention, and infiltration while also helping reduce soil compaction. These characteristics are intended to support consistent soil moisture levels and promote effective root development, particularly in regions facing increasing pressure on water resources.

“Farmers are under more pressure than ever to do more with less water,” said Drew Butler, Adjuvants Portfolio Manager. He referenced declining groundwater levels in parts of the U.S., noting that improving irrigation efficiency is becoming increasingly important for long-term production.

Field Trial Results And Technical Perspective

In 2024, the Irrigation Research Foundation (IRF) in Yuma, Colorado, evaluated AQUA FORCE in corn under center pivot irrigation. The trials reported an average yield increase of 9 bushels per acre across production zones. At a separate site in Oklahoma, fields treated with the product maintained higher soil moisture levels in the top 0–6 inches throughout the growing season. The company noted that results may vary depending on site conditions, crop hybrids, and management practices.

“AQUA FORCE fills a gap in the market,” said Dr. Darin Lickfeldt, Senior Manager of Technical Development. He stated that the product is designed to help irrigation water remain effective in the soil for longer periods, supporting crop performance during the growing season.

Product Scope And Intended Use

The company indicated that AQUA FORCE is part of its broader efforts to develop tools that address evolving irrigation challenges. The product is intended to support water efficiency, soil moisture management, and crop productivity in irrigated production systems, particularly in areas where water availability is a limiting factor.
