Mountain Valley MD Reports Positive Agrarius Trial Results Across Multiple Crops

Mountain Valley MD released new data from Agrarius trials in Brazil and Colombia showing significant yield and plant-health improvements.

Key Takeaways

  • Mountain Valley MD released new data from Agrarius trials in Brazil and Colombia showing significant yield and plant-health improvements.
  • Brazil citrus trials reported 15–49% yield increases depending on variety, with reduced visual HLB symptoms.
  • Colombia pasture grass trials indicated improved regrowth, feed quality, and grazing potential.
  • Additional trials across corn, sugarcane, soybeans, cotton, and potatoes showed consistent productivity gains.
  • Mountain Valley MD plans further trials to support broader commercial deployment of Agrarius.

Mountain Valley MD Highlights Yield Improvements in Brazil Citrus Trials

Mountain Valley MD provided an update on the performance of its Agrarius agricultural plant-signaling technology following new citrus trial data in Brazil. Conducted with FARMATAC, the assessments evaluated mature Hamlin and Valencia orchards under real-world commercial conditions.

Hamlin blocks treated with Agrarius showed a 15% increase in productivity and required 20 fewer boxes to produce one ton of juice. Agronomists also noted reduced visible symptoms of Huanglongbing (HLB). Valencia orchards recorded yields of 835 boxes per hectare compared with 559 boxes in the control—a 49% increase.

“HLB has devastated citrus production globally… The early results we are seeing in Brazil are consistent with prior trials we have conducted,” said Dennis Hancock, President and CEO of Mountain Valley MD. “Agrarius could represent the first scalable organic tool to help mitigate the impact of citrus greening disease while simultaneously improving orchard productivity and plant health.”

Preliminary results from two additional young-orchard trials are expected in the coming weeks.

Reports Progress in Colombia Pasture Grass Trials

In Colombia, Mountain Valley MD is nearing completion of a large pasture grass evaluation in partnership with FEDEGAN and the National University of Colombia. Early findings show stronger vegetation health, faster regrowth enabling earlier grazing, and improved nutritional content confirmed by Agrosavia laboratory testing. These improvements suggest potential benefits for milk productivity and higher cattle density per hectare.

The program spans seven regions across varied climates and grass types, with final analysis expected in early 2026.

Mountain Valley MD Expands Agrarius Validation Across Multiple Crops

This year’s Agrarius trials across Latin America have yielded consistent results:

  • Corn: UNESP trials showed 14.8% and 11.2% increases.
  • Sugarcane: 8–12 tons/ha yield gains, 15% higher sugar content, and reduced pest damage.
  • Soybeans: 6.34 sacs/ha average increase across 14 farmer trials.
  • Cotton: 7% yield increase and improved water-use efficiency.
  • Potatoes: 18.49% productivity increase in 2025 summer trials.

“Whether in commercial-scale citrus orchards, staple row crops, or forage systems, the efficacy of Agrarius appears to be reinforcing confidence among our partners,” Hancock said.

Mountain Valley MD continues new trials on cotton, coffee, citrus, sugarcane, wheat, and barley, with data expected through 2026 as it advances the commercialization strategy for Agrarius.
