Proxag Announces Official Launch and Executive Leadership Team

Proxag, a newly formed U.S.-based agriculture technology company with operations in Brazil and Portugal, has announced its official launch alongside the appointment of its founding executive leadership team.

The company develops, manufactures, and distributes sustainable crop protection solutions, including bio-rational adjuvants, biopesticides, biostimulants, and specialty fertilizers for global agricultural markets.

Members of Proxag’s leadership team previously held senior roles at Oro Agri, where they contributed to global expansion, product portfolio development, and operational infrastructure. Oro Agri was acquired by Omnia Holdings in 2018 for approximately USD 100 million and was subsequently announced for sale in 2020 at an enterprise value of approximately USD 165 million. Proxag noted that Oro Agri and Omnia are separate and unaffiliated companies.

“We are bringing together deep experience in bio-rational agriculture at a time when the market has never been stronger,” said Co-CEO Erroll Pullen, founder of Oro Agri. “This team knows how to scale products globally, build manufacturing infrastructure, and deliver results. We’re excited to apply those lessons to build Proxag.”

Co-CEO Donovan Pullen added: “Agriculture is facing an unprecedented need for locally manufactured molecules and regionally developed technologies. The world’s over-dependence on China for critical crop protection inputs has created both supply-chain volatility and national strategic risk. Proxag is built to solve that.”

Leadership Team and Global Strategy

The Proxag executive team includes Melvin Donovan Pullen (Co-CEO), Erroll Melvyn Pullen (Co-CEO), James J. Sullivan (Global CFO), Paulo Sérgio Berg (Global Director of R&D and QA), Marlon Assunção (Technical Director, LATAM), Wagner Miguel Ballestrin da Silva (GM/CFO, LATAM), and Douglas Nascimento (Director of Operations, LATAM).

Collectively, the team brings decades of experience in agrochemical formulation, patent development, manufacturing scale-up, ISO-certified systems implementation, and global market expansion. During their previous tenure, they supported the commercialization of products such as PREV-AM®, WETCIT®, OROBOOST®, and TRANSFORMER® in more than 80 countries.

Proxag stated that its strategy centers on developing proprietary formulations close to the markets it serves, leveraging regional manufacturing in the United States, Brazil, and Europe to enhance reliability and supply chain resilience.

Proxag Establishes First Production Plant in Brazil

Proxag also announced that it has signed an agreement for its first production facility in Arapongas, located in Brazil’s agricultural region. The plant will serve as the manufacturing anchor for Proxag LATAM and as a launchpad for global operations.

The Arapongas facility will initially focus on a targeted range of adjuvants, biostimulants, and biopesticides tailored to Brazilian crops and conditions, with capacity to scale as demand evolves.

“For Proxag LATAM, Arapongas is more than a plant – it is our technical home base in one of the most dynamic agricultural regions on the planet,” said Wagner Silva, General Manager of Proxag LATAM. “By manufacturing locally, side-by-side with Brazilian partners and growers, we can respond faster and fine-tune our solutions to real field conditions.”

Donovan Pullen described the facility as “a pivotal step in Proxag’s global strategy to be the technology partner behind the most effective spray and biological programs in the world.”

With its launch and initial manufacturing footprint established in Brazil, Proxag positions itself to expand operations across key agricultural markets while focusing on sustainable crop protection and formulation technologies.
