RAGT and Syngenta announced the completion of RAGT’s acquisition of Syngenta’s malting barley seeds business. The transaction, initially announced on November 20, 2025, became fully effective on December 30, 2025, following the fulfillment of customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals and local employee consultation procedures.

Assets, Sites, And Employees Transferred
As part of the completed transaction, RAGT has acquired Syngenta’s Market Stainton site in Lincolnshire, United Kingdom. The facility is described as a center of excellence for malting barley breeding.
Eleven Syngenta employees dedicated to malting barley activities have formally transferred to RAGT. The acquisition also includes specific Syngenta intellectual property, registrations, and other related intangible assets associated with the malting barley seeds business.
