Tagros Chemicals Expands Global Crop Protection Portfolio

Tagros Chemicals India Private Limited has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire global assets associated with Bayer AG’s Flubendiamide (FLB) active ingredient business across Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region. The transaction represents a significant expansion of Tagros’ international crop protection portfolio.

Under the agreement, Tagros will acquire solo and mixture formulations related to Flubendiamide, along with a broad range of supporting business assets. These include established trademarks such as BELT, FAME, FENOS, FENOS QUICK, BELT EXPERT, and TIHAN, as well as product registrations, regulatory data, formulation know-how, technical documentation, and associated inventories.

Strengthening Presence in the Diamide Segment

Flubendiamide is a well-established diamide insecticide used for controlling lepidopteran pests across a variety of crops. By acquiring these assets, Tagros gains immediate access to multiple regulated markets spanning more than 25 countries, reinforcing its global footprint in the crop protection sector.

The transaction strengthens Tagros’ position within the diamide segment, a category that continues to play an important role in integrated pest management programs worldwide. The inclusion of existing registrations and technical data is expected to support continuity of supply and market presence across the acquired regions.

Entry Into B2C Formulations Through Arqivo

Beyond geographic expansion, the acquisition marks a strategic milestone for Tagros by enabling its entry into the business-to-consumer (B2C) formulations market. This activity will be housed under Arqivo, Tagros’ recently established entity focused on branded crop protection products.

By acquiring established brands and market-ready formulations, Tagros positions Arqivo to operate directly in downstream markets, complementing the company’s existing strengths in active ingredient manufacturing and business-to-business supply.

Tagros' Transaction Advisors

EY India acted as the mergers and acquisitions advisor to Tagros on the transaction, while Khaitan & Khaitan served as legal advisor. The completion of the deal is subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions across the relevant jurisdictions.

The acquisition reflects Tagros’ continued focus on expanding its global reach, strengthening its product portfolio, and building a more integrated presence across the agricultural inputs value chain.
