The second VertiFarm, an international trade expo showcasing cutting-edge, environmentally friendly growth and breeding techniques, will take place at Messe Dortmund from September 26 to 28 of 2023. This informational gathering and marketplace for buyers and sellers will highlight healthy, resource-efficient alternatives to conventional foods made possible by the use of controlled environment agriculture (CEA). Next-level farming and new food systems, which the event will discuss succinctly and in considerable depth, are key facilitators for advancing cultivation towards CEA.
With exhibitors anticipated to gather, VertiFarm 2023 is intended to provide a thorough overview of the market for controlled production systems, the growth of alternative foods, and medicinal plants. The Norwegian business Avisomo AS is one of them, and it provides a variety of goods for setting up plant factories and growth facilities employing nutrient solutions (hydroponics). WIVID, a Swedish supplier, will present itself as a leader in the design and manufacture of energy-efficient surface-mounted luminaires. Bosman van Zaal B.V. from the Netherlands, a specialist in plant production systems as well as ventilation and water treatment systems for the food, floriculture, and pharmaceutical industries, will also be taking part once more. Menno Chemie-Vertrieb GmbH of Germany will return to Dortmund to exhibit its extensive knowledge of hygiene management in plant production.
Johann Waldherr, Business Development Manager at Würth Elektronik eiSos GmbH & Co. KG, had the following comment on the first VertiFarm show: “You can see there’s a significant trade audience in attendance – everything you need in terms of innovation and technology for vertical farming. Particularly young individuals have flocked in, bringing fantastic ideas and perhaps simply wanting that extra push for their start-ups or manufacturing enterprises. Right now, that’s a major problem for us and the entire sector.”
