NEC X Launches Batch 15 With Expanded AI Access

NEC X, the Silicon Valley venture studio supported by NEC’s global R&D capabilities, has opened applications for Batch 15 of its Elev X! Ignite startup program. Designed to help early-stage founders turn emerging ideas into seed-ready companies, the program offers funding, expert mentorship, and technical support, including access to NEC’s proprietary technologies.

Following a notable trend in the previous cohort—where 90% of applicants focused on AI-driven solutions—NEC X is introducing an expanded feature for Batch 15. Phase 1 participants will have the opportunity to engage directly with NEC’s advanced AI technologies to refine concepts and explore new product directions before entering later development phases.


A Full-Year Accelerator for Seed-Ready Development

Elev X! Ignite is a 12-month program structured to help AI-powered B2B SaaS startups advance from early validation to seed-stage readiness. Participating companies work with NEC X engineers, researchers, business coaches, and advisors to accelerate product development, test market fit, and prepare for investment milestones.

Founders selected for Phase 1 will gain hands-on access to interactive APIs showcasing NEC’s latest AI capabilities, allowing startups to experiment with potential applications and evaluate feasibility within their target industries.

Shintaro Matsumoto, President and CEO of NEC X, said the program is tailored for founders who want more than capital. “By providing hands-on access to NEC’s AI technologies and pairing founders with dedicated venture support, we help them test concepts, build impactful solutions and get seed-ready faster than ever,” he stated.


NEC X Application Details and Program Focus

Startups have until December 20, 2025, to apply. Following a multi-phase selection process, Phase 1 will begin in February 2026. Ideal applicants are teams building solutions that improve operational efficiency, business processes, or decision-making while aligning with NEC’s broader commitments to societal impact.

More than 180 startups have participated in NEC X programs, including companies such as Beagle Technology, Multitude Insights, Metabob, Flyhound, Chekable, Qualitative Intelligence, Metapyxl, Verdi, and Indicio.
