In an exciting step forward for sustainable agriculture, BiOWiSH Technologies, Inc. and the Modern Agricultural Program (MAP) of Syngenta Group China have signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement. This partnership heralds the launch of the BiOWiSH® Enhanced Efficiency Fertilizer (EEF) across China.
BiOWiSH® EEF employs BiOWiSH® Crop Liquid, a unique blend of microbial cultures. These can be coated on dry fertilizers or blended with liquid fertilizers to augment crop yields sustainably, economically, and safely. With this accord, MAP will introduce various BiOWiSH® EEFs and also serve as a distributor for BiOWiSH in China.
Rod Vautier, President of BiOWiSH, expressed his enthusiasm regarding the collaboration, “Following two rigorous years of lab and field assessments with MAP, we are elated to present our state-of-the-art enhanced efficiency fertilizer technology to China, the world’s predominant fertilizer market. In unison, we are devoted to enhancing food security, agricultural productivity, rural incomes, and championing the ongoing enhancement of Chinese agriculture.”
Designed meticulously, BiOWiSH® EEF seeks to maximize crop yield through enhanced nutrient absorption and soil enrichment. This promotes increased plant vitality. One of its significant features is the HoloGene 3™ technology. The BiOWiSH® endophytic Bacillus delivers soil nutrients to plants via the rhizophagy cycle. This sets up a symbiotic relationship between the soil microbes and the plant, promising consistent results across diverse climates and environments, all while keeping costs minimal for farmers.
China’s agricultural domain faces dilemmas linked to over-cultivation and consequent soil quality deterioration. This necessitates novel methodologies and technologies to uphold the momentum of its crucial agricultural sector. Microbially fortified fertilizers present an organic and enduring solution to these difficulties.
Jianbo Liu, the Vice President of Syngenta Group China and General Manager of MAP and Digital Agriculture, spoke on their mutual objectives. “Both MAP and BiOWiSH are driven by innovation and technology. Our collective aim is to roll out superior products that cater to the evolving needs of Chinese agriculture.”
Lilong Qin, General Manager of MAP Grain Crop Division, highlighted the significance of this collaboration during the signing event. He stated, “Biologically fortified fertilizers are pivotal for reviving soil conditions and instituting eco-friendly agricultural practices in China. Our alliance with BiOWiSH aligns with national directives that advocate reduced fertilizer use, sustainable agriculture, and diminished carbon emissions. This collaboration allows us to offer an enriched product range, advanced technology, enhanced service, and optimal field performance to our clientele.”
For those interested, the BiOWiSH® EEF is available at various MAP locations in China. A more extensive outreach is anticipated throughout 2024. Further details can be obtained from their respective websites.
