Women in Agribusiness Launches 2026 Scholarship Cycle
Women in Agribusiness (WIA) announced that applications are now open for its annual Student Scholarship program, with submissions accepted through Sunday, July 12.
Now in its 13th year, the Women in Agribusiness scholarship initiative has supported more than 450 students in attending the annual Summit. The three-day event provides participants with exposure to industry leaders, educational programming, and networking opportunities across the food and agriculture sectors.
Scholarships are available to full-time upperclassmen undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students enrolled at accredited colleges and universities. Recipients will attend the 15th annual Women in Agribusiness Summit scheduled for September 22–24, 2026, in New Orleans.
Women in Agribusiness Supports Career Development in Agriculture
The Women in Agribusiness scholarship program provides recipients with access to all summit sessions, receptions, and special activities. Students also participate in exclusive breakfast, lunch, and workshop sessions designed to foster peer connections and mentorship relationships.
Past scholarship recipients have represented institutions including Texas A&M University, Virginia Tech, and Alabama A&M University. According to the event organizers, the program aims to support young women pursuing careers in agriculture by facilitating professional development and industry engagement.
“Many thanks to our generous sponsors, such as Karen LeVert, AgReserves, Manulife and Ardent Mills and many more, who have made this transformative opportunity a reality by providing in excess of $1.4 million over the years to support this unique program,” said Reagan Russell, who manages the program for Women in Agribusiness. “It is always disappointing to turn away these young professionals, so we are seeking to host several more students this year through additional sponsorships as the need outpaces the availability of scholarships.”
Expanding Access Through Sponsorship
Women in Agribusiness indicated that demand for scholarships continues to exceed available funding. The organization is seeking additional sponsorship support to expand participation in the 2026 summit and increase access to career development opportunities within the agriculture industry.
