BW Fusion Introduces BioBoost™ Seed Treatment for Corn & Soybean Growers

BW Fusion BioBoost™ is a new biological seed treatment for corn and soybeans, designed to enhance soil nutrients and improve yields.

Key Takeaways:

  • BW Fusion BioBoost™ is a new biological seed treatment for corn and soybeans, designed to enhance soil nutrients and improve yields.
  • The product delivers essential microbes, amino acids, and nutrients to the soil without requiring in-furrow applications.
  • Early trials show yield improvements of +8 bu/ac for corn and +5 bu/ac for soybeans.
  • BioBoost™ also eliminates the need for talc and graphite, using a soy protein-derived seed lubricant carrier.

Introducing BioBoost™

BW Fusion (Profile) has announced BioBoost™, a new seed treatment for corn and soybean growers that delivers essential soil nutrients and microbes, supporting crop health and improving yields. Powered by Environoc® 401, an all-organic plant stimulant, BioBoost™ provides season-long benefits while eliminating the need for in-furrow application.

The product is designed to improve seed germination, accelerate plant metabolism, and ensure uniform early growth by supplying essential amino acids, nitrogen, phosphate, potash, and other targeted nutrients.

Season-Long Benefits and Early Results

Greg McClure, BW Fusion President of R&D, emphasized BioBoost™’s comprehensive impact: “While BioBoost gives crops the best start at planting, its unique nutrient blend continues to work all season long to strengthen cell walls, mitigate stress, support photosynthesis, and improve water efficiency. Growers saw positive changes in their root-to-shoot ratios this year.”

Ahead of its full release for the 2025 planting season, select growers trialed BioBoost™ in 2024. Results indicated:

  • Improved root systems: Bigger, deeper root systems for better nutrient uptake.
  • Stronger plant structure: Larger-diameter stems and stalks to tolerate in-season stress.
  • Yield increases: Average increases of +8 bu/ac for corn and +5 bu/ac for soybeans.

Chris Cooper of Cooper Farms in Indiana observed improvements across various conditions: “BioBoost improved early-season plant health in all soil types and under varying stress conditions.”

Ryan Chalfant from Chalfant Farms added: “BioBoost is definitely going to be a product I use on every acre next year with the ROI I’ve seen from it.”
