Boon Greenhouse Consultancy has welcomed industry stalwart Chris Higgins to its Advisory Board in a strategic move to bolster its innovative approach to tailor-made greenhouse growing processes and operations.
Serge Boon, the owner of Boon Greenhouse Consultancy, is no stranger to the complexities and dynamic nature of the commercial greenhouse sector. Raised in Westland, Netherlands – one of the world’s largest greenhouse regions – Boon has a comprehensive understanding of the industry, having experienced the inner workings of greenhouses from the tender age of 12. His wide-ranging career has spanned various roles in the horticultural field, including grower, researcher, and executive positions, affording him in-depth knowledge of the industry’s technology and best-growing practices.
A key strength of Boon Greenhouse Consultancy lies in its capacity to simplify complex technical language for those new to the industry. This approach empowers newcomers with ambitions to transform their communities access to safe, fresh, and healthy produce.
With Higgins’ inclusion in the Advisory Board, the company anticipates bolstered relationships with industry vendors and customers across the horticultural spectrum. Boon acknowledged Higgins’ valuable 25-year-long dedication to the industry, stating, “Higgins will strengthen our relationships within the world of horticulture. His enduring commitment to the industry and our clients will significantly contribute to the continued success of our diverse clientele in an ever-evolving and challenging fresh produce landscape.”
