EARTHDAY.ORG, the largest organizer and recruiter for the environmental movement worldwide, has announced the launch of ‘Earth Week‘ to commemorate this year’s theme: Invest in Our Planet. Scheduled from April 14th to April 22nd, Earth Week will feature a series of Earth Day Live events and significant happenings in every time zone, making it EARTHDAY.ORG’s most ambitious effort to date.

Kathleen Rogers, President of EARTHDAY.ORG, emphasizes the importance of engaging governments, businesses, institutions, and the general public in the fight against climate change. Earth Week aims to bring together over 1 billion participants annually to build a new, sustainable society. In addition, Earth Day Live events will explore urgent environmental issues, such as climate restoration, regenerative agriculture, environmental and social justice, and more, featuring panelists from various sectors.

In addition to virtual events, EDO will collaborate with individuals and organizations worldwide to host thousands of in-person activities, including cleanups, rallies, celebrations, and protests. As the organizer of Earth Day, the organization has expanded its reach and impact over the years, rallying over 1 billion people in over 190 countries annually to participate in environmental activities and initiatives. In addition, Earthday.org has successfully brought together diverse stakeholders, including governments, businesses, NGOs, and individuals, to collaborate on addressing pressing environmental issues such as climate change, plastic pollution, and deforestation.

Beyond the annual Earth Day celebrations, Earthday.org’s ongoing campaigns and initiatives have led to tangible improvements in environmental policy, education, and public consciousness. For example, the organization’s efforts in promoting environmental legislation and regulations have contributed to adopting critical acts such as the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and the Endangered Species Act in the United States. Furthermore, Earthday.org’s emphasis on environmental education has helped foster a more informed and engaged global citizenry, with millions of students and educators participating in its climate literacy and environmental education programs.
