Edacious Partners with Regenerative Organic Alliance to Link Farming Practices and Human Health

Edacious and ROA partner to test 200+ Regenerative Organic Certified® foods, linking farming practices to nutrition and health.
Provided by Edacious. Over the next four years, Edacious will work closely with the ROA to identify and test more than 200 Regenerative Organic Certified® (ROC™) food products through the Edacious Food Lab. These analyses aim to assess both the nutritional quality and toxicity of ROC™ crops in comparison to those produced through conventional, organic, and regenerative non-organic methods.

Key Takeaways:

  • Edacious announced a new partnership with the Regenerative Organic Alliance (ROA).
  • The collaboration will test more than 200 Regenerative Organic Certified® food products over four years.
  • Analyses will compare nutritional quality and toxicity of regenerative organic crops with conventional and other methods.
  • Edacious will serve as a preferred service provider for ROA members, offering testing and reporting services.
  • The initiative aims to build measurable data connecting agriculture practices with human and planetary health.

Edacious Launches Four-Year Testing Initiative

Edacious and the Regenerative Organic Alliance (ROA) have entered into a partnership to measure the nutritional quality and safety of Regenerative Organic Certified® (ROC™) crops. Over the next four years, Edacious will test more than 200 ROC™ food products through its Food Lab, comparing them with products produced using conventional, organic, and regenerative non-organic methods.

This initiative addresses long-standing concerns that modern agriculture has prioritized yield over quality, leading to nutrient loss, malnutrition, and soil degradation. By creating measurable, verified data, Edacious aims to make nutrition a more visible factor in agricultural systems.

Data and Services for ROA Members

As part of the collaboration, Edacious will provide data and insights to the ROA and its members. The company will serve as a preferred service provider, offering its Discovery Analysis Package at a reduced rate. ROA members will also gain access to Edacious’ testing and reporting tools to evaluate macronutrient and micronutrient content, assess toxicity, and connect growing practices to nutritional outcomes.

Leadership Perspectives

Christopher Gergen, Chief Executive Officer of the Regenerative Organic Alliance, said: “This partnership brings us one step closer to proving what farmers have long understood: that how we grow our food matters. By generating measurable data around nutrient density and toxicity, we can better demonstrate the true value of Regenerative Organic Certified® farming and products for human and planetary health.”

Eric Smith, Chief Executive Officer of Edacious, added: “Working with the Regenerative Organic Alliance allows us to bring critical, science-based transparency to the value of regenerative organic farming across their growing global network. Our goal is to support a deeper understanding of how food is grown and how it impacts the health of both people and the planet.”

Building a More Transparent Food System

The partnership between Edacious and ROA is intended to provide the evidence base for rewarding farming practices that restore ecosystems and produce healthier food. By offering measurable nutrient data, Edacious hopes to elevate awareness of regenerative organic agriculture and strengthen connections between agricultural practices and long-term human health.
