Enpower Corp. Announces Completion of Wadham Energy Sale

Enpower Corp. (“Enpower”), a California-based independent energy producer, announced that it closed the sale of its wholly owned subsidiary, Wadham Energy Limited Partnership (“Wadham”), on November 21, 2025. The buyer is High Rock Energy LLC and HR Energy GP, collectively referred to as the High Rock Energy Group. The acquiring entities are members of an infrastructure fund focused on power and water projects in the western United States.

The transaction transfers ownership of a 27 MW rice husk biomass-fueled energy facility located in Colusa County, California. The facility has been in operation for more than three decades and serves both the state’s electricity market and the local rice milling industry.

Enpower Corp. and Wadham Energy’s Role in California

Wadham Energy has an operating history of over 30 years, providing baseload renewable electricity to the California energy market. In addition to power generation, the facility supports California’s rice milling sector by offering a consistent outlet for rice husk disposal.

Ed Tomeo, President and CEO of Enpower Corp., commented on the transaction, stating, “It was in the long-term interests of the Wadham stakeholders and customers to find a partner that best positioned them for continued success well into the future.” He added, “We are pleased that all of our Wadham employees will transfer employment to the High Rock Energy Group.”

High Rock Energy Group’s Operational Continuity Plans

High Rock Energy Group indicated that the transition of ownership will not result in operational changes at the facility. Abhilash Sharma, co-founder and COO of High Rock Energy Group, said, “The transition will be seamless, and our customer relations, supply chain, and plan to provide baseload power to California will remain unchanged.” He also noted the company’s intention to maintain Wadham Energy’s existing workforce and community presence.
