EOSDA and Summit Agro Chile Collaborate on Remote Crop Monitoring Platform

Summit Agro Chile, a provider of crop protection products and agricultural inputs, has entered into a strategic partnership with EOS Data Analytics (EOSDA), a global provider of satellite imagery analytics powered by artificial intelligence. The collaboration centers on integrating the EOSDA Crop Monitoring platform into Summit Agro’s operations to support precision agriculture and environmentally sustainable practices in Chile.

As part of the agreement, Summit Agro Chile will adopt EOSDA’s satellite-based platform to monitor crop performance remotely, analyze vegetation indices, and better understand how crops respond to climate variability and environmental stress.

Supporting Sustainable Growth in a Growing Market

With the Chilean agriculture sector forecast to grow alongside national GDP—projected between 2.0% and 3.0% in 2025—the demand for inputs and digital solutions is expected to rise. Summit Agro Chile aims to leverage this opportunity to promote sustainable input use while maintaining soil health and boosting productivity.

According to María Carolina Orellana Correa, Marketing & AgTech Technical Support at Summit Agro Chile SpA, “EOSDA Crop Monitoring is an excellent tool for understanding the response of crops to different problems. It eases our clients’ field management and allows them to optimize the time spent on administrative tasks.”

A Platform for Informed Decision-Making in Chilean Agriculture

With a management footprint that spans 370,000 hectares of fruit trees and 500,000 hectares of extensive crops, Summit Agro Chile plans to use EOSDA Crop Monitoring to visualize vegetative changes in real time, optimize field operations, and support decision-making with data-driven insights.

The company also intends to work closely with EOSDA on local customization, adapting the platform to Chilean agronomic conditions and highlighting its advantages over existing alternatives. Summit Agro plans to promote the tool by sharing client success stories to increase adoption within the region.

EOSDA Sees Chile as Key Market for Expansion

Dmytro Svyrydenko, Account Executive at EOS Data Analytics, commented on the company’s interest in the partnership: “The Chilean market interests us, and we would like to bolster our presence there. Partners like Summit Agro Chile provide us with the platform to do that and also highlight the local peculiarities so that we can develop and adjust our products accordingly.”

While the current focus is on Chile, the companies see potential for long-term collaboration, combining Summit Agro’s regional knowledge and EOSDA’s technological capabilities to promote climate-smart agriculture.
