Key Takeaways:

  • GROWMARK’s myFS Agronomy platform analyzed 4.9 million acres across the U.S. Midwest in 2025 using remote sensing technology.
  • Corn yield estimates ranged from 255 bushels per acre in Central Iowa to 193 bushels per acre in Southern Illinois.
  • The application’s yield predictions achieved approximately 95% accuracy at key estimate timings in late July and early August.
  • Farmers can view early yield trends, monitor hybrid and soil type performance, and feed harvest data back into the platform.
  • GROWMARK plans continued investment in artificial intelligence and remote sensing to enhance digital agronomy capabilities.

GROWMARK's Data-Driven Yield Estimates Across the Midwest

GROWMARK, Inc. has announced that its newly launched myFS Agronomy platform utilized data from 4.9 million acres of farmland throughout the Midwest during 2025. The system integrates information from airplanes, drones, and satellites to provide regional and field-level corn yield estimates.

According to the company, regional averages showed yields ranging from 255 bushels per acre in Central Iowa to 193 bushels per acre in Southern Illinois. The estimates are based on data from enrolled FS customers participating in the myFS Agronomy program and are subject to regional variation depending on data coverage.

Early Yield Predictions and On-Farm Application

At the farm level, the platform’s predictive models have achieved accuracy rates of at least 95% during key estimation periods. Brendan Bachman, FS Agronomy Director, said the app allows growers to see preliminary yield predictions as early as mid-June.

“The myFS Agronomy app allows yield predictions as early as mid-June for enrolled growers, giving farmers a general feel for yield trends earlier in the season, and this will only improve as more acres are added,” Bachman explained.

He added that real-world data supports the platform’s predictive accuracy: “I can look at one of my father-in-law’s enrolled corn fields in the app in August and see an estimated yield for that field. Weeks later, as that field is being harvested, it’s feeding the data into the myFS Platform about what the combine is actually collecting as it drives through the field, showing strong correlation to the early season yield prediction.”

Integrating Technology for Farm Decision-Making

Brad Drake, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of GROWMARK, said the platform is designed to simplify digital agronomy for farmers.

“We know that farmers can be overwhelmed with the amount of data and the number of applications out there to help them,” Drake said. “Simply put, myFS Agronomy is designed to be the hub that brings many of these disparate data sources together to make profitable and productive decisions for their farms. As myFS Agronomy’s technological capabilities continue to grow, the application will generate valuable insights to help farmers throughout their growing season.”

Features and Future Development For GROWMARK

In addition to yield prediction, myFS Agronomy connects with the myFS Solution Center to enhance the digital user experience. Its capabilities include:

  • Quantifying agronomic opportunities through data analytics.
  • Providing data-driven insights for diagnosing field issues.
  • Assisting in crop management decisions using field-level data.
  • Offering real-time updates on weather, markets, and agronomic news.
  • Enabling FS crop advisors to discuss performance trends with farmers based on shared data.

GROWMARK stated that it will continue investing in technologies such as artificial intelligence and advanced remote sensing to further strengthen data integration and support long-term farm profitability.
