Koltiva Partners with AI Singapore to Advance AI-Driven Traceability
Koltiva, a Swiss-Indonesian AgriTech company operating in 94 countries and supporting more than 19,000 businesses, has announced the launch of an AI-powered traceability initiative aimed at transforming global agribusiness supply chains.
The first pilot will be implemented with SUGATA PTE. LTD, a coffee and cocoa supplier based in Aceh, Indonesia. The project introduces what the companies describe as the region’s first AI-enabled traceability model for responsible sourcing. The initiative is part of the AIAP for Industry program led by AI Singapore.
The collaboration is designed to address increasing regulatory pressures, including the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), the U.S. Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), and Europe’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD).
AI Integration Across Sustainability and Field Operations
The initiative will integrate artificial intelligence into Koltiva’s KoltiTrace digital ecosystem, focusing on sustainability intelligence, risk resilience, field operations, and fair finance.
At the core of the project is the development of AI-generated sustainability and compliance reporting tools. These tools are expected to automate ESG documentation, enable continuous data verification, and provide real-time monitoring of climate, yield, and compliance risks. According to the company, this approach aims to support agribusinesses in strengthening reporting and verification processes.
Joe Keen Poon, Executive Chairman of the Board at Koltiva, said, “As a Singaporean leading a global firm, I am proud to anchor our technological evolution in AI Singapore’s world-class ecosystem. By leveraging Singapore’s AI leadership, we are empowering smallholder farmers across 94 countries to navigate complex global regulations through truly intelligent, data-driven supply chains.”
He added, “The collaboration with our partner, SUGATA and AI Singapore marks a major step forward in making global supply chains not only transparent but truly intelligent.”
Koltiva Pilot with SUGATA Focuses on Cocoa and Coffee Supply Chains
SUGATA will serve as the first client to pilot the AI solutions within its cocoa and coffee sourcing operations in Indonesia. The implementation includes full-farm mapping, producer training and coaching, and premium payments linked to sustainable practices.
Laurence Liew, Director of AI Innovation at AI Singapore, stated, “Through the AIAP for Industry, AI Singapore is pleased to partner with Kudeungo Sugata (through Sugata Pte. Ltd) and Koltiva to advance AI solutions that strengthen sustainability and resilience across agribusiness supply chains.”
Furqonudin Ramadhani, CTO and Co-Founder of Koltiva, said, “We are prioritizing the co-development of an AI-Generated Sustainability and Compliance Reporting platform with integrated Data Quality Monitoring. This system will automate reporting processes, replacing manual workflows with fast, accurate, and globally aligned ESG and due diligence documentation.”
The companies indicated that the pilot will explore how predictive intelligence and automated verification can enhance transparency and operational efficiency across agribusiness value chains.
