Little Leaf Farms Unveils Major Expansion with New Tennessee Facility

Little Leaf Farms (Profile), the nation’s leading indoor-grown salad brand, has announced the development of its third campus, a 215-acre site in Manchester, Tennessee. The move strengthens the company’s national presence and reaffirms its leadership in the controlled environment agriculture (CEA) sector. Construction on the facility is set to begin in summer 2025, with operations expected to launch in Fall 2026.

New Site to Bolster National Supply and Job Creation

The Tennessee campus will initially span 40 acres of high-tech greenhouses, with future capacity to double to 80 acres. Once fully operational, the facility will serve as a key distribution hub for the Midwest, Southeast, and Texas. The project is expected to create several hundred new jobs over the next five years.

“Our mission remains our north star,” said Paul Sellew, Founder and CEO of Little Leaf Farms. “Expanding into Tennessee marks a powerful step forward in delivering fresher, better tasting leafy greens to more consumers across the country.”

Little Leaf Farms Strengthens Role in U.S. Indoor Agriculture

Holding over 50% of the market share among indoor lettuce growers, Little Leaf Farms continues to lead the sector with its scale and commitment to sustainability. The company currently supplies more than 7,000 grocery stores from its Massachusetts and Pennsylvania locations, the latter being the largest leafy greens CEA facility in North America.

“Consumers are increasingly choosing our fresher, more flavorful greens over field grown greens,” Sellew added. “This new campus is a testament to our belief in and commitment to the promising future of indoor-grown leafy greens.”

State and Local Leaders Welcome Little Leaf Farms

The expansion was welcomed by Tennessee officials as a boost to the state’s agricultural and rural economies.

“Agriculture is the backbone of Tennessee’s economy,” said Governor Bill Lee. “The company’s commitment to innovation and job creation will strengthen our agricultural sector and expand opportunities for hardworking Tennesseans.”

Mayor Joey Hobbs of Manchester also expressed support, stating, “We are excited and grateful that Little Leaf Farms has chosen the Manchester Industrial Park as the site of its newest location.”

A Decade of Steady Growth

Little Leaf Farms celebrates its tenth year in business with this announcement. From its first operations in Massachusetts to becoming the top U.S. indoor-grown salad brand, the company continues to scale its mission of transforming how leafy greens are grown and distributed.
