MyEasyFarm Introduces MyEasyAI to Support Agroecological Transition
MyEasyFarm has announced the launch of the MyEasyAI project, developed in collaboration with the Cristal Union cooperative and the LICIIS laboratory at the University of Reims Champagne Ardenne (URCA). The initiative is designed to accelerate the agroecological and low-carbon transition of sugar beet cultivation in France’s Grand Est region.
The agrifood sector accounts for nearly one-third of global anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions, with Scope 3 emissions from agricultural raw materials representing a significant share of the carbon footprint for cooperatives and agrifood industries. In the Grand Est region, sugar beet production faces increasing climate-related risks and regulatory changes, including frameworks such as CSRD, SBTi FLAG, and the GHG Protocol LSRG.
MyEasyAI aims to shift carbon management from regional averages toward farm-level primary data, enabling more precise monitoring and advisory support.
AI-Driven Decision Support and Data Integration
The MyEasyAI project focuses on leveraging data and artificial intelligence to create a decision-support assistant for sugar beet growers and cooperative advisors. The system is designed to:
- Facilitate collection and verification of primary farm data
- Provide tailored advisory recommendations based on soil, climate, and sustainability trajectories
- Strengthen monitoring capabilities for Cristal Union’s agricultural and CSR teams
The project adopts a resource-efficient technological approach and aligns with France’s Ministry of Agriculture strategy to deploy artificial intelligence in the agrifood sector.
“With MyEasyAI, we are moving from a management tool to a true methodological partner for the farmer and their advisor,” said Guillaume Vial, Head of Solutions at MyEasyFarm. “Our ambition is to build the digital twin of the farm and break down the barriers of data fragmentation to offer farmers a transparent solution, where every AI recommendation is explainable and combined with their own agronomic expertise.”
MyEasyFarm Targets Measurable Environmental and Economic Outcomes
With a budget of €1.6 million, the project is financially supported by the European Union, the French State, and the Grand Est Region, and certified by the Bioeconomy For Change (B4C) cluster.
MyEasyAI outlines regional impact objectives including a 27.5% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, reduced use of plant protection products, and water optimization improvements ranging from 8% to 20%. The initiative also seeks to enhance the competitiveness of the sugar beet sector and contribute to scientific research through academic publications.
Thomas Fleiter, Agricultural Decarbonization Manager at Cristal Union, stated, “We are committed to engaging 100% of our growers in more sustainable practices and thus significantly reducing our environmental footprint. The MyEasyAI project will largely contribute to this.”
Luiz Angelo Steffenel, Director of the LICIIS Laboratory at URCA, added, “This is a great example of research/industry collaboration in the field of Bioeconomy.”
The project was announced during AI Week in Paris 2025 and will be highlighted at upcoming AI-focused events in France and India.
