Nufarm Expands U.S. Insecticide Portfolio with EPA Approval

Nufarm Americas Inc. confirmed that its new insecticides Naxypro® and Naxypro® Plus have received registration from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The products feature chlorantraniliprole, an active ingredient known for its effectiveness against lepidopteran pests such as codling moth, armyworm, and soybean looper.

According to Nufarm, both products are formulated to deliver reliable, long-lasting protection while fitting seamlessly into Integrated Pest Management (IPM) programs that support sustainable crop protection practices.

Product Details and Crop Coverage

Naxypro® contains 1.69 lb/gal of chlorantraniliprole and provides up to three weeks of protection against chewing and sucking insects, including codling moth, navel orangeworm, and peach twig borer. The formulation is designed for flexibility across a range of specialty crops, offering fast-acting control and extended residual activity.

Naxypro® Plus combines chlorantraniliprole (0.89 lb/lb) with bifenthrin (1.33 lb/lb), delivering dual-action pest management for broad-acre crops such as soybeans, corn, cereals, and cotton. It targets armyworms, earworms, aphids, mites, and whiteflies, providing season-long protection for major row crops.

A third product, Naxypro® Duo, is currently under EPA review. The upcoming formulation will combine chlorantraniliprole and bifenthrin to provide broad-spectrum control for high-value crops, including tree nuts, fruits, and vegetables, while maintaining compatibility with beneficial insects.

Supporting Growers with New Technical Alternatives

“The Naxypro insecticide portfolio opens the door to channel partners seeking a technical alternative,” said Jeff Wagner, Vice President of Sales, Crop Protection at Nufarm. “It’s a win for growers across crop markets who need dependable chlorantraniliprole solutions today, with the added advantage of future-ready formulations.”

The Naxypro portfolio strengthens Nufarm’s presence in the U.S. insecticide market and aligns with the company’s goal to provide growers with reliable, flexible pest management tools suited to modern farming systems.

Commercial Launch Timeline

Commercial sales of Naxypro® and Naxypro® Plus are expected to begin in January 2026, ahead of the 2026 Crop Year. With the potential addition of Naxypro® Duo following EPA approval, Nufarm’s expanded portfolio will support a broader range of growers across both specialty and broad-acre cropping systems, offering enhanced pest control and sustainable management options.
