Loveland Products Introduces WEATHER GARD™ ELITE Adjuvant

Loveland Products, Inc. has announced the launch of WEATHER GARD™ ELITE, a next-generation all-in-one adjuvant developed to simplify spray applications while improving performance and handling. The new formulation builds on the company’s existing WEATHER GARD portfolio by combining multiple adjuvant functions into a single, easy-to-use product.

WEATHER GARD ELITE integrates water conditioning, drift reduction, deposition aid, antifoam/defoamer, and penetrant functions into one lower-viscosity liquid. According to Loveland Products, the reduced viscosity improves handling, measuring, and mixing efficiency, allowing applicators to spend less time at the tank and more time in the field. The product is now available in totes to support bulk operations and flexible logistics.

Formulation and Performance Improvements

The formulation is powered by Loveland’s LECI-TECH® technology, which is designed to improve droplet deposition, spreading, and overall spray performance. Loveland Products stated that this technology supports more consistent spray quality and optimized results across a range of applications.

“WEATHER GARD ELITE is a formulation of an all-in-one water conditioner designed to optimize the performance of herbicide applications to help the customer with ease of use,” said Drew Butler, Adjuvants Portfolio Manager at Loveland Products. “It was formulated to simplify mixing, reduce drift, and improve penetration, so the active ingredient has a better chance of reaching its target.”

In a 2025 field trial conducted in Renville, Minnesota, WEATHER GARD ELITE achieved 45% spray coverage, compared with 42% coverage for WEATHER GARD COMPLETE, its predecessor. Loveland Products noted that the product is optimized for use with glyphosate and 2,4-D formulations, including Enlist™ and other D-trait systems such as MAKAZE®.

Loveland Products Positions WEATHER GARD ELITE for Operational Efficiency

Loveland Products highlighted several features intended to support precision and efficiency in spray operations. These include reduced foam and drift, enhanced water conditioning, improved penetration, and easier storage and handling in bulk systems.

The company stated that every new product undergoes evaluation by its Technical Development Team to ensure reliability and consistency under real-world conditions. WEATHER GARD ELITE is positioned as part of Loveland Products’ broader effort to support growers with tools that improve application efficiency and input performance.

“Our focus has always been on developing products that truly make a difference for growers and our Nutrien retail network,” said Jake Walker, Director of Marketing at Loveland Products. “WEATHER GARD ELITE reflects Loveland Products’ ongoing commitment to delivering innovation to help maximize the performance of all our growers’ inputs.”
