Ontario Plants Launches New Brand and Expands with High-Tech Greenhouse in Glencoe

Ontario Plants, North America’s leading producer of young plants for greenhouse growers, has announced the launch of its new brand and visual identity, marking an important step in the company’s evolution. The rebrand, which includes a new logo inspired by the Fibonacci sequence, represents the company’s commitment to quality, customer service, and innovation.

New Visual Identity Reflects Connection to Nature

The Fibonacci sequence, a mathematical pattern commonly found in nature, served as the inspiration for the company’s new logo. This sequence, present in plants like strawberries, reflects the company’s alignment with natural growth processes.

Mathieu van de Sande, CEO of Ontario Plants, emphasized that the rebrand goes beyond aesthetics. “Our rebrand is more than a new logo and colour scheme – it captures how we’ve evolved at Ontario Plants to have a laser-like focus on quality, customer service, and innovation,” van de Sande stated.

Opening of 13-Acre Greenhouse in Glencoe

Alongside the rebrand, Ontario Plants has opened a new 13-acre high-tech greenhouse facility in Glencoe, Ontario. This new facility is designed to deliver high-quality young plants to customers and features cutting-edge biosecurity measures. New hygiene equipment, strict protocols, and enhanced pest control methods have been implemented to ensure the health and safety of the plants.

In addition to biosecurity, the Glencoe facility incorporates sustainability initiatives, including a 45-million-liter water retention pond that captures, recycles, and reuses over 90% of rainwater from the greenhouse roofs. A six-acre rooftop solar installation is also planned for the loading and office areas, furthering the company’s commitment to sustainability.

Expanding Operations Across Ontario

Ontario Plants operates another 36-acre high-tech greenhouse facility in St. Thomas, Ontario, which shares many of the innovations present at the Glencoe location. These facilities together enable Ontario Plants to meet the increasing demand for high-quality young plants, supporting growers across North America.
