Accelerating Digital Transformation in Thai Agriculture
SAP SE announced that Sotus International Co., Ltd., a leading agrochemical company in Thailand, has successfully implemented SAP Cloud ERP with support from NTT DATA Business Solutions Thailand. The initiative aims to strengthen Thailand’s agricultural ecosystem through innovation, data visibility, and digital integration.
Established in 1996, Sotus International provides bio and non-bio crop protection products to farmers across Thailand. As the company expanded beyond one billion baht in annual revenue, its legacy on-premise ERP system faced challenges in scalability and data connectivity. The cloud transition now allows Sotus to manage its operations, spanning R&D, regulatory compliance, and product formulation, on a unified, real-time platform.
Data Integration for Smarter Agricultural Management
With the new cloud-based ERP, Sotus can streamline workflows and eliminate data silos across departments. The system provides instant access to operational insights, improving coordination from warehouse management to sales forecasting.
Mr. Chirat Prathuangwong, President of Sotus International, said that AI and data integration will increasingly serve as a digital “doctor for crops,” enabling precise disease diagnosis, efficient crop care, and informed decision-making. He emphasized that the cloud ERP implementation positions Sotus as the first agrochemical company in Thailand to adopt such technology, strengthening both its competitiveness and sustainability.
Kulwipa Piyawattanametha, Managing Director of SAP Indochina, added that the project demonstrates how cloud ERP technology can drive sustainable growth for Thai businesses and farmers through innovation and operational efficiency.
Implementation and Measurable Results
NTT DATA Business Solutions Thailand led the integration, ensuring the system met Sotus’s unique operational needs. The collaboration resulted in measurable outcomes, including a 95 percent increase in warehouse operation accuracy, a 75 percent boost in maintenance scheduling efficiency, and a 70 percent improvement in overall business processes.
These improvements give Sotus on-demand visibility into production and sales performance, allowing the company to anticipate market trends and deliver more customized solutions for Thai farmers.
Advancing Sustainable Growth Through Cloud Technology
The project reflects SAP’s broader commitment to helping small and midsize enterprises across Southeast Asia leverage digital tools to become more agile and sustainable. By adopting SAP Cloud ERP, Sotus International strengthens its role as a leader in Thai agricultural innovation and supports the nation’s goal of building a resilient, data-driven farming ecosystem.
