Terra Robotics secures funding for growth

Terra Robotics, an agri-tech startup pioneering laser weeding solutions, has raised nearly €1.8 million in its latest funding round. The investment will support the commercialization of the company’s breakthrough technology, designed to offer farmers a sustainable and efficient alternative to herbicides and manual weeding.

The round was led by Uni.Fund with continued backing from Genesis Ventures, Helidoni Group, and the Hellenic Business Angels Network (HeBAN). Angel investor Argyris Kaninis also joined as a new supporter.

Farmer-first innovation at the core

“With this strong and diverse group of backers, we believe we have built the ideal foundation to accelerate commercialization and bring our laser weeder to farmers worldwide,” said Konstantinos Kandylas, CEO and Co-Founder of Terra Robotics.

The technology uses advanced robotics, artificial intelligence, and laser systems to target weeds precisely, reducing input costs while boosting efficiency and environmental sustainability.

Strong investor backing

“We believe Terra Robotics has the potential to revolutionize farming,” said Dora Trachana, Partner & CEO of Uni.Fund. “Their work will reshape how farming is done and inspire world-class innovation to emerge from Greece.”

Genesis Ventures and Helidoni Group emphasized the team’s dual expertise as both farmers and engineers, pointing to the “unmatched team–market fit” and the global impact potential of the TerraWeeder system.

Next steps: pilots and scale-up

With the new funding, Terra Robotics plans to finalize product development, expand its teams, and roll out pilot projects with farmers. Scaling production and building new partnerships will be the company’s focus in the coming months as it positions its laser weeder as a cornerstone of sustainable agriculture.
