JumpLights Appoints Matteo del Ninno as Chief Operating Officer
Horticultural lighting company JumpLights has named Matteo del Ninno as its new Chief Operating Officer, elevating him from his previous role as Chief Technology Officer. Del Ninno, who co-founded JumpLights in 2016, brings a decade of technical leadership to the position and will continue to be based at the company's Maryland headquarters.
Del Ninno holds a Master of Science in Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering from Iowa State University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, combining engineering depth with hands-on experience in the horticultural lighting sector.
“He has made tremendous contributions to JumpLights growth over the years and is ideally suited to lead JumpLights' operations moving forward,” said John Peeler, CEO of JumpLights.
“I'm thrilled to be taking on another exciting opportunity here at JumpLights,” said del Ninno. “In this new role, I'll have even more opportunity to help our customers and our company grow.”
Appointment Follows Two New Product Launches
The leadership change comes as JumpLights adds to its cultivation lighting portfolio. The company recently launched the Lumia, a lensed light designed for greenhouse and indoor growing, and in April introduced the Vert, a multi-tier light developed for cannabis cultivation environments. Del Ninno and other JumpLights executives will be present at the IgniteIt Chicago Cannabis Capital Conference on June 15-16.
