“A large part of our mission is to connect food and community,” said Jack Levine, Co-Founder and CEO of Town to Table in the company’s press release. “Our business model allows us to bring food production closer to the point of consumption which reduces food waste, reduces food miles, and fosters a stronger connection to our food. We’re thrilled to continue making locally-grown basil accessible year-round in the Greater Boston area.”

To outfit their new facility, Town to Table partnered with South Carolina-based indoor-agriculture technology company Amplified Ag, whose enterprise-grade technology-enabled container farms regulate environmental inputs such as light, water, and plant nutrition to yield consistent, fresh produce year-round.

“At AmplifiedAg, our team has firsthand knowledge of the vertical farming industry, thus we have built our farms and technology to be adaptable enough to increase enterprise production and help vertical farming entrepreneurs like Jack and Temen. Through our collaboration with Town to Table, we are excited to bring our technology to the Northeast and look forward to supporting their ongoing success and expansion,” according to Don Taylor, CEO of Amplified Ag, Inc.
