Unconventional Ag Conference 2023: Spotlight on Sustainable Sourcing and Production

The ninth annual Unconventional Ag conference is slated to occur in Dallas, Texas, from December 12-13 at the Hyatt Regency Dallas. This esteemed annual event gathers vital players and thought leaders from the agricultural value chain. The conference highlights the latest advancements, value-added opportunities, and developmental strides impacting the grain and oilseed sectors.

This year, the focus is on sustainable sourcing. The event invites buyers, suppliers, and producers to discuss sustainable procurement systems and production methods for grains, oilseeds, vegetable oils, and plant-based proteins.

Previous attendees have spoken highly of the Unconventional Ag conference. David Hightower of The Hightower Report, a 35-year veteran of industry conferences, said, “You won’t want to miss this year’s exchange of ideas… This year’s wide-ranging presentations and diverse attendees’ backgrounds will yield something thought-provoking and beneficial to my business.”

Echoing this sentiment, Bryan Stobaugh, Director of Licensing and Commercialization at the Missouri Soybean Association, stressed the value of attending the conference, saying, “From challenging yourself with new concepts and market trends to networking with other professionals in the non-GM and organic space, you can’t afford to miss this.”

The 2023 conference will feature a comprehensive agenda. An Ingredient Buyer Outlook Panel will provide insights into the needs and priorities of sourcing professionals. A session on Regenerative & Carbon Capture Systems will present the latest standards and practical approaches to soil restoration, greenhouse gas protocol scopes, emissions categories, and carbon sequestration.

Other topics include an assessment of the future of alternative proteins and best practices for procurement in the face of recent challenges such as COVID-19. Additional sessions will explore specialty oilseeds and grains, commodity risk management, and organic crop inputs.

The full conference agenda is available online. Early bird registration is open until July 1, offering attendees the best possible rates.
