Village Farms Expands To Germany

Village Farms International, Inc. has expanded its Canadian Cannabis business, Pure Sunfarms, into Germany, collaborating with IUVO Therapeutics GmbH. The German-based importer, marketer, and distributor of medical cannabis will soon make Pure Sunfarms’ Pink Kush available to patients in the country.

Michael DeGiglio, Village Farms’ CEO, emphasized the importance of entering the German market as part of their international cannabis strategy. The company has experienced significant growth in cannabis exports to Australia in 2022 and now operates in three international markets, including Australia, Israel, and Germany.

Pure Sunfarms’ Pink Kush dried flower product has been a best-seller in Canada since its 2020 launch. Mandesh Dosanjh, President and CEO of Pure Sunfarms, noted that introducing their products to Germany, Europe’s largest market, aligns with their ongoing success.

Jonathan Lubosch-Haenisch, IUVO’s CEO, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership with Village Farms International, citing Pure Sunfarms’ track record in Canada and their dedication to offering high-quality, terpene-rich cannabis products at competitive prices in the German market.
