Advexure and Aerobotics Partner

Advexure & Aerobotics partner for DJI Mavic 3 Multispectral & Aeroview Package, merging drones & analytics for advanced crop management.

In a significant move for the agriculture industry, Advexure, a prominent drone solutions provider in North America, and Aerobotics, a leader in precision agriculture analytics, have joined forces to introduce the DJI Mavic 3 Multispectral & Aeroview® Package. This collaboration brings together cutting-edge drone technology and advanced analytics, revolutionizing the way farmers monitor and enhance crop health.

The centerpiece of this partnership is the DJI Mavic 3 Multispectral drone, a technological marvel equipped with a 4/3″ CMOS 20MP RGB camera and a 4-band 5MP multispectral camera. This dual-camera setup allows for simultaneous RGB and multispectral data capture, providing a comprehensive view of crop conditions. With impressive flight times ranging from 36 to 42 minutes, farmers can efficiently map large areas daily. Moreover, each image acquired by the drone includes crucial solar irradiance details, ensuring the accuracy of vegetation indices.

Cody Thomas, Vice President of Business Development at Advexure, noted, “The DJI M3M has opened the doors to countless new operators in the agriculture industry due to its ease of use, compact size, and affordability. Now tie that in with the leading software for permanent crop analytics, and you have a straightforward solution that brings tremendous value for those growers.”

Integration with Aerobotics’ Aeroview® platform transforms these high-resolution images into actionable insights. The web-based Aeroview® dashboard provides farmers with granular plant-level insights, visual representations of scouting findings, high-resolution map layers, and various tools to optimize agricultural operations. Whether it’s monitoring plant health (NDRE), assessing vigor (NDVI), managing tree inventory, or gauging tree canopy size, the combined power of the Mavic 3 Multispectral and Aeroview® offers a holistic perspective on orchard health, empowering farmers to achieve maximum yield.

James Paterson, CEO of Aerobotics, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, saying, “Aerobotics is excited to announce the launch of a new package, combining the DJI M3M drone with our leading per tree data and crop analytics. This solution provides growers worldwide access to a cost-effective precision agriculture solution, allowing growers to monitor and track each tree on the farm and the tools to action the data in the field.”

Aerobotics, established in 2014 in Cape Town, aims to bolster global food security through intelligent tools for farmers. The company, founded by Benji Meltzer and James Paterson, has emerged as a pioneer in harnessing artificial intelligence (AI) for agricultural applications. Their software products enable data-driven decision-making in farming, promoting efficiency and sustainability.

Founded in 2012, Advexure Unmanned Systems has grown into one of North America’s premier dealers, distributors, and training providers in unmanned drone systems and UAS technology solutions. With a specialization in drone fleet solutions across various sectors, including government, public safety, utilities, inspection, film, and enterprise verticals, Advexure stands at the forefront of drone innovation. The company is headquartered in Irvine, CA, and offers expertise through its website and social media channels.

The strategic partnership between Advexure and Aerobotics heralds a new era in precision agriculture. By combining the capabilities of the DJI Mavic 3 Multispectral drone with the advanced analytics of the Aeroview® platform, this collaboration empowers farmers to make informed decisions that optimize crop health, increase yield, and drive sustainable agriculture practices. As technology continues to shape the agricultural landscape, this partnership is a shining example of innovation with real-world impact.
