URUS Group Acquires AgriWebb to Extend Data-Driven Cattle Management into Beef
URUS Group LP has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire AgriWebb Pty Ltd, a mobile-first livestock management and supply chain data platform serving beef and sheep producers globally. The acquisition marks a significant expansion of URUS's integrated genetics-and-data strategy beyond its established dairy operations into the beef sector. Co-founded in 2014 by Justin Webb, Kevin Baum, and John Fargher, AgriWebb helps producers manage livestock, grazing, land, teams, and compliance in one system, while connecting on-farm data to supply chain transparency and sustainability programmes.
25 Million Animals on Connected Platforms Across Dairy and Beef
Following deal completion, the combined platforms will support 25 million animals across dairy and beef operations worldwide. The transaction builds on URUS's VAS DairyComp platform, where on-farm data, genetics, and management tools are already tightly integrated. Bringing AgriWebb into the portfolio is designed to create stronger feedback loops between genetics, on-farm management, and real-world performance across the global cattle supply chain.
“By bringing AgriWebb into the URUS family, we further strengthen our data and genetics flywheel, creating even better connectivity with producers and retailers and enabling more informed, outcome-driven genetic and management decisions across the entire breadth of dairy and beef production,” said Paul Hunt, CEO of URUS.
AgriWebb Continues Under Its Own Brand and Leadership
AgriWebb will retain its brand and be led by its current management team post-acquisition. The co-founders positioned the deal as the natural next step in AgriWebb's evolution from ranch management software into broader livestock data infrastructure.
“URUS stood out as the right partner, combining world-leading genetics, producer scale, and long-term commitment to build valuable support of the bovine industry,” said Justin Webb, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of AgriWebb.
Transaction terms were not disclosed. Closing is expected in Q3 2026, subject to regulatory approvals. Rabobank advised URUS on M&A and Freshfields LLP on legal matters; AgriWebb was represented by HSF Kramer.
