Aleph Farms, an Israeli food technology company, has announced the launch of its first product brand, Aleph Cuts. Aleph Cuts will be used to market the company’s first product, the Petit Steak, which is the world’s first cultivated steak. The product will launch in Singapore and Israel later this year, subject to regulatory approvals. The launch of Aleph Cuts is an important step for the company as it will build momentum ahead of commercialization, increasing engagement with its customers.
The branding initiative was developed with the brand and experience design agency BOND. The aim was to create a brand that would differentiate Aleph Farms’ products and build excitement among consumers. The visual identities for Aleph Farms and Aleph Cuts are part of a unified system designed to support the scale of Aleph Farms’ growing product portfolio. The brands share a new icon inspired by the company’s previous ox head symbol, reflected in the letter A in Aleph but flipped, creating a mirror effect that compels the viewer to see familiar things in a new way.
Aleph Farms’ products are grown from non-modified cells of premium Angus cows, and no slaughter is involved in production. From a single fertilized egg, Aleph Farms can grow thousands of tons of cultivated meat, serving as part of a just and inclusive transition to sustainable and secure food systems. The company also has a ‘Whole Animal’ approach by which it plans to produce different cuts of steak as well as other products based on animal cells, such as cultivated collagen, through additional proprietary capabilities.
The launch of Aleph Cuts is a significant milestone for Aleph Farms as it brings the company closer to achieving its vision of developing new ways to grow quality animal products that improve sustainability, food security, and animal welfare in our food systems. The company has received top accolades from the World Economic Forum and the United Nations for its contributions to climate leadership, including a net-zero commitment made in 2020.
The launch of Aleph Cuts marks a significant step for Aleph Farms as it brings the world’s first cultivated steak closer to consumers. The branding initiative developed in partnership with BOND reflects the innovative spirit of the company and its commitment to sustainable and secure food systems.
