Cultivator Powered by Conexus Unveils Cohort 5 of the Agtech Accelerator

Cultivator powered by Conexus has announced the fifth cohort of its Agtech Accelerator, selecting 15 agtech startups from Canada and the United Kingdom. The announcement was made at a Canadian Agtech Founder Pitch Event held before the World Agri-Tech Innovation Summit in San Francisco.

About the Agtech Accelerator Program

Structure and Timeline

The Agtech Accelerator is a three-month intensive program that combines virtual and in-person components. Cohort 5 will begin in April, with the program culminating in a finale at Ag in Motion, western Canada's largest outdoor farm expo. The accelerator is designed to support Canadian and UK agtech startups working on solutions for global agricultural challenges.

Laura Mock, Director at Cultivator, outlined the organization's role within a broader ecosystem.

“Cultivator is part of a much larger national and global ecosystem, and our focus is accelerating the path to commercialization. We work closely with industry partners, farmers, academia and government to help innovators move their technologies from development to real-world adoption,” Mock said.

“Canada plays a vital role in global agriculture and is uniquely positioned to help innovators prove technologies that can help feed the world more sustainably, which is why we have seen so much success through the Agtech Accelerator,” she added.
