Elevate Farms Inc. has recently announced the beginning of operations at its first wholly-owned US farm, Elevate New Jersey. The farm spans over 14,000 square feet and boasts fully autonomous grow rooms, processing, packaging, and administration spaces. This vertical farm has a massive capacity to produce up to 11,000,000 plants or 500,000 pounds of plants annually, making it one of the most efficient vertical farms in the world, with over 105 lbs per foot of annual production.
Located in Orange, New Jersey, it is strategically positioned on the US Eastern Seaboard, with the capability to locally supply and distribute food to 19 million people within an hour’s drive. This makes the farm a crucial player in producing fresh and locally grown leafy greens in the region. With fewer than 15 employees, the farm has created a highly efficient and productive working environment that allows for producing high-quality leafy greens in a fully automated manner.
“The team has been working relentlessly to bring this latest farm online. We are extremely pleased with the early results from New Jersey,” said Kevin Epp, the Chief Operating Officer.

”At over 100 pounds per square foot of grow space, Elevate Farms is among the most efficient vertical farms in the world. This latest farm will be supplying high-quality leafy greens directly to wholesale distribution in the North East, a model which we expect to replicate worldwide shortly,” said Amin Jadavji, the Chief Executive Officer.
Elevate Farms plans to expand its operations in the US, New Zealand, and Central Europe to become one of the world’s largest leafy greens producers.
