Heartwood Partners has announced that Arrow Seed, a family-owned business for four generations, has joined its growing seed and erosion control platform, NativeSeed Group. Based in Broken Bow, Nebraska, Arrow Seed specializes in producing and supplying conservation and premium forage seed, primarily serving the Midwest. This acquisition will expand NativeSeed’s geographic presence and enhance its product portfolio with additional warm-season seed varieties.
Expansion and Strategic Growth
Arrow Seed is known for conditioning and packaging native grass, wildflower, forages, turf grasses, small grains, and other related seed varieties for farm and conservation applications. Their clientele includes seed distributors, retailers, farmers, state and local conservation districts, municipalities, and private landowners.

Strengthening NativeSeed’s Portfolio
Arrow Seed is the second add-on acquisition completed by NativeSeed Group since Heartwood Partners, a middle-market private equity firm founded in 1982, acquired the business in April 2022.
