Mustang Containment Solutions, a geosynthetics construction company that builds large-scale, turnkey containment and water management systems, has acquired Mustang Extreme Environmental Services' environmental lining and water management assets across the Western and Southwestern U.S. The deal closed on July 11, and terms were not disclosed.
A Return to the Company's Founders
The acquisition brings the business back under the control of Todd Creel and Whitney Creel, who founded it as Mustang Energy Services in 2011. In 2018, the Creels sold a majority interest to Blue Wolf Capital Partners, a New York-based private equity firm, which combined the operation with competitor Extreme Plastics Plus to create Mustang Extreme Environmental Services.
