Nihon Nohyaku and Boost Biomes Partner to Develop Cutting-edge Bio-Insecticides

In a joint effort to address the rising demand for bio-insecticides, Japanese agrochemical manufacturer Nihon Nohyaku Co., Ltd. and microbiome technology company Boost Biomes, Inc. announced their development agreement on June 15, 2023. This partnership aims to create bio-insecticides that offer a sustainable and effective solution to pest management.

Bio-insecticides, derived from natural materials, are emerging as a promising alternative to traditional synthetic insecticides. They not only cause less harm to the environment but also combat the growing resistance of pests to conventional chemicals. The collaboration between Nihon Nohyaku and Boost Biomes is poised to make significant strides in this field, leveraging Boost Biomes' proprietary microbiome technology.

Nihon Nohyaku's decades-long agrochemical expertise will combine with Boost Biomes' unique microbiome technology that uses the natural microbial communities associated with specific environments. Together, the companies aim to develop advanced bio-insecticides to combat pests in an effective and environmentally friendly manner.

A representative from Nihon Nohyaku expressed excitement over the partnership, stating, “This collaboration with Boost Biomes reflects our commitment to integrating innovative technologies into our products. We are confident that the joint development agreement will lead to the creation of superior bio-insecticides that address the current challenges in pest management.”

From Boost Biomes' perspective, this partnership opens the door to applying its cutting-edge technology to a broader market. “Working with Nihon Nohyaku enables us to expand the application of our microbiome technology into the critical pest management sector. We look forward to the developments this partnership will bring,” said a spokesperson for Boost Biomes.

In the face of growing environmental concerns and the need for sustainable agricultural practices, the collaboration between Nihon Nohyaku and Boost Biomes highlights the potential of innovative, bio-based solutions in transforming the agricultural industry.
