Oasis Grower Solutions Strengthens Northeast Sales Leadership

Oasis Grower Solutions, a division of Smithers-Oasis, announced that Jason Deschaine has joined the company as Territory Sales Manager for the Northeast U.S. sales territory, effective December 8, 2025. The appointment was announced by Vijay Rapaka, Ph.D., Director of Global Grower Operations & Research at Smithers-Oasis.

Deschaine will assume responsibility for the Northeast region currently managed by Sharon Warschauer, who is scheduled to retire on December 31, 2025, concluding a 45-year career in the horticulture industry. According to the company, Deschaine and Warschauer will work closely during the transition period to ensure continuity of service for customers in the region.

“I’m very pleased to have Jason as part of our team at Oasis Grower Solutions,” said Dr. Rapaka. “I’m confident that his diverse background in the industry and solid industry relationships in the Northeast will be great assets as we continue to serve our customers and bring our innovative substrates and ancillary products to a broader market.”

Oasis Grower Solutions Leverages Three Decades of Industry Experience

Deschaine brings more than 30 years of experience in sales and territory management across horticulture-related industries. His background includes working with distributors, independent nurseries and garden centers, big box retail channels, and landscape supply wholesalers. Oasis Grower Solutions noted that this broad exposure positions him well to support customers across the Northeast’s diverse horticulture market.

Based in Connecticut, Deschaine holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Merrimack College in Andover, Massachusetts. In his new role, he will report directly to Dr. Rapaka and focus on strengthening customer relationships and supporting the adoption of Oasis Grower Solutions’ substrates and ancillary products across the region.

Dr. Rapaka also acknowledged the contributions of Warschauer, who joined the Oasis Grower Solutions team in January 2020. “Sharon has been a tremendous asset to our Oasis Grower Solutions team since joining us,” he said. “Her contributions have made a lasting impact. She will be greatly missed, but we feel fortunate to be the final stop in her 45-year career in the horticulture industry.”

Planned Transition and Regional Continuity

The company stated that the structured transition is designed to provide customers with uninterrupted support while positioning the Northeast sales territory for continued growth. By combining Deschaine’s long-standing industry relationships with Warschauer’s institutional knowledge during the handover period, Oasis Grower Solutions aims to maintain service consistency while expanding its presence in the regional horticulture market.
