In a significant development, Oleo-X, a frontrunner in producing high-quality renewable fuel feedstocks, has unveiled its state-of-the-art pretreatment facility for renewable diesel (RD) and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) feedstocks. The Pascagoula, Mississippi, facility can generate up to 300 million gallons of premium feedstock per year. In addition, the company has announced the appointment of seasoned airline fuel executive Sergio Correa as its new Chief Executive Officer.
The Oleo-X facility is equipped to process eco-friendly, inedible oils such as poultry fat without mixing in high-quality food industry oils. This feedstock purity enables a cost-effective conversion of conventional refining units to handle renewable feedstock while reducing carbon intensity.
Francis Greenburger, Chairman & CEO of Time Equities Inc. (TEI), the majority investor in Oleo-X, expressed his enthusiasm for the company’s pioneering efforts. He stated that the company’s work generates a positive impact, aligning with its goals.
Correa, the newly appointed CEO, has a wealth of experience in the oil and gas sector. He spent over a decade at Delta Air Lines as the head of Clean Oil Products. Correa shared his excitement about joining Oleo-X and furthering his commitment to innovative renewable fuels.
The Oleo-X facility supports more than 60 jobs, including 27 site leadership positions in Jackson County. In addition, the company is set to grow throughout the year, bolstering its workforce, production, and community engagement. Greenburger expressed gratitude for the commitment and hard work of Oleo-X employees and the Jackson County community.
